Movement Screen — FAQ

Comfortable, athletic-style clothing that lets you move freely. Shorts and a t-shirt work well. You won't be asked to remove any clothing — the entire screen is done fully dressed.
The screen takes approximately 30 minutes. We go through the movement assessments, explain what we found, and walk through the action plan with you before you leave. Plan for about 35–40 minutes total.
No — the screen is optional but highly recommended, especially if you have chronic recurring issues. If you prefer to start with a massage, we do a brief intake assessment at the start of every session. The full 30-minute screen goes deeper and gives us a more complete picture.
Yes, with some modifications depending on your injury. We'll adapt the assessments to what's appropriate for your current condition. In some cases, the screen is especially useful when you're injured — it helps us understand what patterns may have contributed to the injury and what needs attention during recovery.
You walk away with a clear action plan. For most people, the next step is a targeted massage session that addresses what the screen revealed. You can book that immediately after your screen, or take the information home and book when you're ready. There's no pressure.
